Two brothers Moses Kuria and Aloise Kinyajui have been reported to have lost to UDA candidates in the 9th August general elections.
According to the sources, Aloise of the Jubilee party, younger brother to Moses Kuria lost the Juja parliamentary seat after garnering 30,799 votes against the incumbent MP George Koimburi who became victorious with 39,413 votes.

His elder brother Moses Kuria of the Chama Cha Kazi party who was contesting for the Kiambu governor position lost to the unverified winner outgoing Senator Kimani Wamatangi of UDA party.
Even though the IEBC never gave out the official results, Mr. Kuria went ahead to concede defeat.

Reportedly, both the brothers had once served in the government as Mr. Kuria served as the MP of Gatundu south from 2013 when he entered unopposed following the death of the then Gatundu south MP, Jossy Ngugi.
He retained the seat in the 2017 general elections.
His brother Aloise worked as a Directorate Of Criminal Investigations- DCI officer before turning to politics.
