The former investigative journalist who is now the Member of parliament for Nyali constituency, Hon. Mohamed Ali has expressed his thoughts about the disappearance of Bogonko. He said that Denis Itumbi should come clear on the whereabouts of Bogonko, as the two were close friends. He questioned Itumbi's silence on the matter despite the close friendship between him and lost person.

The family of the disappeared, have also gone ahead to ask that Itumbi declares what he knows about their disappeared kin.
Bogonko Bosire was a renowned blogger through his website, The Jackal News. He came into limelight for criticizing some of the big wigs in the government. He disappeared in the year 2013. Though it speculated that he might have been a victim in the Westgate Mall attack, his whereabouts are yet to be known as his body was not amongst the found bodies of the victims after the attack.
