Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coaltion presidential candidate Raila Odinga has today thrown jabs at his main competitor, Deputy President Dr William Ruto saying he is not a real Kalenjin because real Kalenjins are long distance runners. Hence they understand the rules of running a long distance race which requires somebody to start the race slowly not as fast as sprinting.
Speaking during the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coaltion campaigns in Gatundu today, Raila said that Ruto started his race for president in a very fast manner without knowing that presidential contest is a marathon. He ran very fast thinking that he is the only one of the race hence he will win so easily but now he is wondering how things have unfolded even in Mount Kenya region. Odinga added that he does not know where Ruto was born if he is a Kalenjin.
"You see that man (Ruto) he started sprinting without knowing that the contest is a marathon. He is not a real Kalenjin because Kalenjins are long distance runners hence they understand that in marathon one must start the race in a slow pace. You don't start a marthon by sprinting you start slowly and then sprint as you finish, I don't understand where than man was born if he is a Kalenjin. He is a fake Kalenjin, Kalenjins understand how to run marathon not like him..." He said.
