JUST IN: Embakasi East Presidential Results Announced by IEBC Despite Reports of Missing RO

The August General Elections has come and gone with the various candidates who were vying for different seats in the elections receiving shockers after they lost while some won.

New faces have been seen in this new Parliament given the number of seasoned politicians that have been defeated by newcomers who resonated well with the electorate.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has been receiving Constituency Presidential Results from the Constituency Returning Officers at Bomas of Kenya.

The Constituency Returning Officers arrive at the Bomas of Kenya with the Forms 34B which have to be tallied and the compared to the received Forms 34A.

Earlier on this day, there were reports that the Constituency Returning Officer in Embakasi East Constituency was missing under unclear circumstances.

There have been no further reports on the matter and if he has been found after a search was started by the authorities as per the reports that we have.

However, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has this afternoon released the Presidential Constituency Results from Embakasi East in Nairobi County.

This is despite the reports that the Returning Officer was missing but it appears that the reports might have been mistimed and untrue as the results have been announced.

According to the reliable reports that we have from IEBC, Embakasi East Constituency, Nairobi County, Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga had 53,982 votes while the Deputy President of Kenya, William Ruto had 30,976 of the total 85,000 votes cast.
