Today the Head of State caught the attention of many after appearing in public with a female Aide De Camp for the very first time since his election.
President Ruto turned up for the launch of the Women Enterprise Fund with Lt. Col. Damaris Agnetta, as opposed to his usual Aide De Camp who is always male.
The Women Enterprise Fund is a special fund under the existing Hustler Fund that seeks to empower women grow their small businesses famously known as Small Micro Enterprises (SMEs).
This will go along way in empowering women in business thus equipping them economically so that they will not have to depend on men for everything even the most basic of their needs.
Although he did not deliver on his promise of having fifty percent of his cabinet comprising of women, even by virtue of having a female Aide De Camp, Ruto has shown serious commitment on woman empowerment.
