NEWS JUST IN: Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta Sends Message to Those Fighting in DRC

The Former President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, is the facilitator of the peace process in The Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo that has seen tens of thousands of residents of the area displaced.

The Retired President recently was part of the peace dialogue that was held at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi where the President of Kenya, William Ruto was also in attendance.

This afternoon, according to the available reliable reports that we have with us from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta has made a statement regarding the peace process in DRC.

President (rtd) Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta, who is the facilitator of the East Africa Community-led dialogue, who has called on all the parties involved in the conflict in the Eastern DRC, to give peace in the region a chance for the sake of their children, themselves as well as their country.

Here is a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "Speaking to the delegates that are representing the various warring groups that are attending the Third Inter-Congolese Dialogue, in Nairobi, Retired President, H.E. Kenyatta said that the foreign armed groups must be stopped and sovereignty of DRC be respected."
