"Raila Usitupange" Kakamega Aspirants Threaten to Dump Azimio After Zoning Reports

The political season is yet again here with us and leaders are doing anything possible to win in the August polls. The nominations are now over and all eyes are focused on the bigger prize.

A new development has occurred in the Azimio la Umoja coalition a day after Raila Odinga picked NARC Kenya party leader Martha Karua to be his running mate in the August general election.

A group of aspirants drawn from Kakamega county who belong to DAP-K party have threatened to ditch the Azimio la Umoja coalition if zoning will be effected as it is being rumoured.

Led by DAP-K woman representative aspirant, Senator Naomi Shiyonga, the aspirants have said that they are not ready to boycott their journey to the advantage of their opponents in ODM party.

"Raila Odinga, you agreed to be the father of this polygamous marriage. Every aspirant must be given a chance. Usikuje hapa Kakamega kutupanga. If that zoning is effected, you should just forget Azimio votes in Kakamega county," alluded one of the aspirants.

Naomi Shiyonga is running to unseat the current woman representative, Elsie Muhanda, who belongs to ODM party. Connie Lusweti of ANC is also a front runner in the woman representative seat. DAP-K party is led by CS Eugene Wamalwa and Kanduyi MP, Wafula Wamunyinyi.

One week ago, another group of aspirants from Nairobi county also came out to reject the zoning by Azimio. They gave Jubilee party an ultimatum of 48 hours to do away with matter.
