Khalwale responds to media claims that there is a fight between him and Malala over UDA ticket

Dr. Boni Khalwale is eyeing the Kakamega Gubernatorial seat on a UDA ticket in the coming August general elections, on the other hand the current Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala is also eyeing the same seat probably on Amani National Congress ticket but he has been recently building friendship with United Democratic Alliance party leader William Ruto.

According to today's Daily Nation, the friendship between Ruto and Malala is complicating the gubernatorial race on the UDA camp as Ruto is in dilemma over who to support between the two. Answering to this claim, Boni rubbished the claims that there is an ongoing fight between him and Malala over who will get Deputy President's support in the Kakamega Gubernatorial race.

He termed the fight as imaginary that exists only in the pages of newspaper and not in real life, "Dear NMG, this imaginary fight exists only in your Newspaper. We are happy to get UDA party and ANC party working in synergy. If our presidential aspirants, William Ruto and Musalia Mudavadi finds it possible to work together, why not usthe gubernatorial aspirants?" Khalwale wrote in his official Twitter account.
