President Uhuru Kenyatta made changes in his cabinet this week for efficient service delivery. One of the cabinet secretary who was promoted to a senior ministrial docket is Eugene Wamalwa. The cabinet secretary was transferred from devolution docket to defense docket.
Today the cabinet secretary made a grand entry in Kitale Town as he celebrated his new cabinet appointment. The cabinet secretary thanked president Uhuru Kenyatta for showing confidence in him. He said that he is ready for the defense task.
A large number of local residents from Kitale Town stormed the town to warmly welcome the new defense cabinet secretary Eugene Wamalwa. The residents cheered joyfully as the cabinet secretary entourage made its way in the town.
Mr. Eugene Wamalwa has been serving in the cabinet since 2015. He was first appointed by president Uhuru Kenyatta as water cabinet secretary in his first term in office. He was later transferred to devolution ministrial docket before the current assignment to defense docket.
The accomplished lawyer served as member of parliament in the constituency before vying for Transnzoia senatorial seat were he lost. He is very popular and influential in the county and the larger Western region.
