A number of politicians majorly from the Kenya Kwanza team would likely be affected after the IEBC forwarded their names to DCI and EACC for investigations before being cleared to run for various positions.
According to the Court Order, several politicians are facing charges in the various courts among them include corruption cases which have affected many candidates, murder charges, and Impeachment cases.
These aspirants include; Kenya Kwanza's designate Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who is facing corruption cases, Aisha Jumwa of Malindi who is facing murder case, Mike Sonko and Ferdinand Waititu who were impeached from office. Others are, Oscar Sudi, John Waluke, Ayub Savula, Patrick Musimba among others.

The investigations have already commenced and if they will be found guilty they will likely to be barred from running various positions ahead of the August elections.
For instance of Gachagua will be found guilty Dp Ruto will be the most affected considering that he has already settled on Gachagua as his running mate.
