Only a few days after ODM opened an office in Kisii, UDA which is led by William Ruto was on the verge of doing the same but it was not a smooth sail for them. From a video circulating online UDA entourage made its way to the capital flanged by several bodaboda operators who could be seen dawning party attires.
However, their move was cut short by the police who blocked the entire entourage and stopped them from proceeding to the capital and opening up new offices. They claim that there was no communication made by the party in regards to the activity.
This move angered the charged crowd who accused them of partisan and intimidation during this period. They wondered why their ODM counterpart was allowed to proceed with their opening ceremony but for them, it is being stopped. The party is yet to issue a statement on the same.
