Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 morning appeared on Citizen Tv’s day break show for an interview.
On the recent raid by EACC officers on her properties, Waiguru linked the raid on the recent change of her stand on BBI in Mt Kenya.
According to the Kirinyaga Governor, BBI was never a priority by Mt Kenya residents and they only supported it because the President said so.
After the court ruled against the Bill, Waiguru stated it was time to focus on other important issues rather than BBI. This was the onset of her latest disappointments.
On matters on Uhuru and Ruto’s breakup, Waiguru said it was an unfortunate occurrence and as leaders, it was unfortunate to be in a position where the President and his deputy are not working together.
Governor Anne Waiguru: “To be in a position where the President and his DP are not working together is unfortunate…We need to figure out where we went wrong so we do not find ourselves in such a situation again as it affects all of us.”
Asked if she intends to join Ruto’s new sensational party UDA, Waiguru did not deny or confirm if she will join the party but put her options open.
She stated she is open to all options at the moment and will only settle with where she will feel comfortable and acceptable.
Rigathi Gachagua while reacting on Waiguru’s statement, welcomed the Kirinyaga Governor to UDA hustler camp.
