Governor Joho's Possible Successor If Elections Were Held Today

HAKI Africa is a survey Organization standing for Humanity, Activism, Knowledge, Integrity (HAKI)

HAKI Africa commissioned the recent infotrak survey for the Mombasa County Gubernatorial race which attracts interest from many aspirants to succeed Joho, this is what they found out from a section of about 2400 Mombasa residents:

Mvita MP Nassir Abdullswamad Sheriff is the leading aspirant in the race for Mombasa governor seat, according to infotrak

The survey conducted between March 9 and 12 showed that Nassir enjoys the support of 48 per cent of Mombasa residents.

Businessman Suleiman Shahbal, who is eyeing the ODM ticket same as Nassir, was second supported by 18 percent of the residents.

The Former Mombasa County senator, Hassan Omar who is eyeing for the seat on a UDA Party ticket had 5 percent.

Kisauni Member of Parliament Ali Mbogo;a first term legislator and also impressed in the seat had 4 per cent.

.The survey indicates that 21 per cent of those who took part in the survey are still undecided.

This is an indication that if elections were held today, then the Mvita constituency Member of Parliament Honourable Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir could have been Joho's Successor.
