Currently Kenya is at crisis with acute shortage of Anti retroviral drugs (ARVs). So many people living with HIV/AIDs continue to suffer as their bodies grow weak due to lack of the drug. This have come months after World Health Organization (WHO) announced a risk of running out of the drugs to almost 70 countries due to covid 19 pandemic.

To add salt on the would there is a tax stand - off between Kenya and USAID. Earlier last year it was rumoured that ARVs meant for Kenya were shipped to west Africa after Kenya Revenue Authority ( KRA) demanded tax on them. KRA came out and denied the claims on their Twitter account.

More than a year later and as the situation grow worse Kenyans couldn't hold it any more and decided to storm the KRA accounts with the motion #releaseARVs. We are hoping the government and the concerned bodies will look unto this issue to save lives.
