President William Ruto has shown that he is willing to work with a different team. The rate at which he is sending home those people that were employed by his predecessor is alarming.
The latest in the ongoing reshufflements is Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) Director John Waweru. Mr Waweru has been sent home just shortly after attending the handing of ceremony of PS in the Tourism ministry.

Mr Waweru has been replaced by Erastus Kanga who is Wildlife Secretary. Kanga will run KWS in the acting capacity.
Waweru was appointed by the immediate former President Uhuru Kenyatta in a controversial move that elicited mixed reactions at the time. Ruto’s latest move has also sparked reactions raising concerns on how he intends to run the government.
Waweru was told to remain behind on Monday as other dignitaries headed for a luncheon after handing over ceremony. He was then told to immediately told to vacate his office through a memo.

“This is to inform all the staff that KWS Director General Waweru John has proceeded to a compulsory leave and the government has replaced him with Erastus Kanga in an acting capacity immediately,” the memo read.
The latest move by government has left many Kenyans questioning how Ruto wants to run the government.
