Kenyans Send To A Deep Mourning, Mwai Kibaki Is Dead.

This afternoon, Kenyans have been send into a deep mourning after His Excellent Uhuru Kenyatte announced the death of the third president of Kenya, Emilio Stanley Mwai Kibaki. Mwai Kibaki served as the third president of Kenya from 200s to 2013. Emilio Stanley had previous served as the Vice President of Kenya for ten years from 1978 to 1988 under the late President Daniel Moi. Mwai also served as an opposition Member of the parliament for ten years from 1992 to 2002. President Kibaki was married to Lucy Muthoni from 1961 until her death in 2016. They were blessed with four children: Judy Wanjiku, Jimmy Kibaki, David Kagai, and Tony Githinji. They had several grandchildren: Joy Jamie Marie, Rachael Muthoni,Mwai Junior and Krystinaa Muthoni. Kibaki was born in 1931 in Thunguri village, Othaya division of Kenya's then Nyeri District, now Nyeri County. He is the youngest son of Kikuyu peasants Kibaki Gĩthĩnji and Teresia Wanjikũ. Though baptised as Emilio Stanley by Italian missionaries in his youth, he has been known as Mwai Kibaki throughout his public life. Mwai was the last born in a family of eight children.
