"We Will Continue Coming to The IEBC" Osotsi Says As Azimio Mps Hold Protest Outside IEBC Offices

On Monday 25th Azimio Mps Took to the Anniversary Towers to Protest the interdiction of the commission's deputy CEO Ruth Kulundu.

Led By Ruaraka Mp TJ Kajwang, the lawmakers Accuse the IEBC of Abdicating Kulundu for a reason of not conforming to what Her Bosses Wanted concerning the outcome of the August General Elections.

"The conduct of the two individuals, Wafula Chebukati and Marjan Hussein portray an institution that has surrendered its independence and disregarded the rule of law," Kajwang stated.

Anniversary towers gates were however closed and locked with the legislators being told to disperse their supporters if they want their petition to be accepted.

The lawmakers maintained that Kulundu was interdicted for being a whistleblower in the August 9 elections.

Ruth is accused by Marjan of illegally convening an IEBC plenary meeting without his approval or delegation as CEO and substantive secretary at all commission meetings.

During that meeting, four IEBC commissioners who disagreed with Chairman Wafula Chebukati settled on lawyers Paul Muite and Issa Mansur to represent the commission in a presidential election appeal filed by Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua.

And Godfrey Osotsi Said That They will continue coming to the IEBC and said that When Chebukati heard They Were coming He Disappeared from the office and locked the gate.

Kulundu was part of a crackdown on senior IEBC staff alleged to have aided the operations of the four breakaway commissioners who disowned Chebukati's declaration of president William Ruto as the victor in the August 9 poll.
