Deputy President William Ruto was received warmly in the Kajiado South constituency on Monday evening. This is after a two-day Lower Eastern Economic Bloc Forum in Amboseli, kajiado county, the second in command made a stopover in Kimana Town to engage with the residents who had turned out in large numbers.
The residents were very happy to see the Deputy President and when he greeted them, they all responded in unison and with happy faces. Former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama, among others, accompanied Ruto in speaking to the citizens of the region.
During the visit, the DP has continued to advocate the hustler narrative, promising to safeguard the livelihoods of 'mama mbogas' and 'bodaboda' riders if he takes over the next government in 2022.
The second in command's visit comes only a day after he received a similar welcome in Kiambu County, Mt Kenya, where he has been trying to stamp his support ahead of the 2022 general election for quite some time now.
