Ruto’s security detail was however not given a hard time after the rally ended as Ruto was slowly escorted by the area residents.
The security detail had surrounded Ruto’s car and the residents had given enough room for the bodyguards to freely move near the DP’s car.
Unlike other rallies in other places, the residents usually crowd Ruto’s car as some push the security detail while trying to get closer to the DP in a bid to greet him or sell him items.
The DP’s security detail usually is forced to push the crowd back and the DP’s driver finds it hard to move when there is a huge crowd.
In Karitina however, things were different as DP Ruto’s driver easily maneuvered through the crowd as the residents were well organized to leave enough space for the vehicles to pass.
Armed police officers and Ruto’s bodyguards escorted the car while Ruto was leaving as he waved to the residents who were standing by the roadside as some followed his motorcade from behind.
