As 2022 general election draws closer, political leaders are doing all they can to ensure they get necessary support to vie for different political seats. Political alliances are also cropping up. Currently One Kenya Alliance (OKA) is latest alliances and it brings together KANU, Wiper Party, Amani National Congress and Ford Kenya.
Political bigwigs are also moving around the country to urge kenyans to support their bid. Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader and former prime minister Raila Amolo Odinga is today in Uasin Gishu county to promote his 'Azimio La Umoja' initiative. Raila Odinga is looking forward to run for presidency for fifth time.
Raila's presidential bid has today received a major boost after Party of National Unity (PNU) announced to partner with his ODM party ahead of next year's general election. This is after a fundraising dinner in Nairobi last night.
"PARTY of National Unity (PNU) announces partnership with Raila's ODM after a fundraising dinner in Nairobi last night," read the statement.
This is good news and huge win to Raila ahead of next year poll. Raila is expected to run for fifth time and he will battle with deputy president Dr William Ruto for country's top seat.
