In what seems to be an evening shocker to Manson Oyongo who is eyeing the Kisii gubernatorial seat, his deputy who was cleared by IEBC has this evening called it quit and decided to join Simba Arati in the ODM party ahead of the August polls.
According to a video seen by this writer, Alfred Ndemo has indicated that the move was informed by the fact that a majority of the area leader and voters are behind the Azimio la Umoja which is being led by Raila Odinga and also in Kisii the Simba Arati led team.
With less than 40 days to the polls, this latest move could mean that Simba Arati is better placed to succeed Ongwae after opinion pols also placed him ahead of other opponents seeking to take over the county after the August elections. Simba Arati is yet to comment on the matter.
