In his message, the Head of State noted that Kenyans were sympathetic after the death of the fallen hero whom he has described as having been a great leader in the history of the African Pan-Africanism.
“On behalf of the Government and the People of Kenya and on my own behalf, I wish to convey our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Government and People of Zambia on the demise of former President Kenneth Kaunda,” President Kenyatta said in his message of consolation.
He has noted that the fallen leader took part in the promotion of interests of the African continent even after many years of having left active politics of the democratic Republic of Zambia.
He has noted that Kenyans will always cherish the footprint that the former president has left in the country as well as Africa as a whole.
“Former President Kaunda was a great leader full of wisdom who remained actively engaged in promoting the interests of the African continent for many years after leaving office. We will always remember and cherish his huge contribution to the welfare of the people of Zambia and Africa as a whole."President Uhuru Kenyatta.
