5 Important Things President Uhuru Said in His National Adress

1. The nationwide curfew shall continue to observed from 10pm to 4am nationwide for a further 60 days.

2. Curfew hours maintained between 7 pm and 4 am in the 13 counties classified as COVID-19 hotspots until 31st July 2021. The hotspot counties are Busia, Vihiga, Kisii, Nyamira, Kakamega, Kericho, Bomet, Bungoma, Trans-Nzoia, Kisumu, Siaya, Homa-Bay and Migori.

4. Funerals and cremations shall be conducted within 96 hours after the confirmation of death. Attendance limited to a maximum of 100 persons

5. Kenya intends to vaccinate 10 million adults by December 2021. We aspire to vaccinate the entire adult population, that is 26 million people, by the end of 2022.

If a vaccine for the underage population is registered by early next year we intend to vaccinate an extra 4 million young adults by June of 2022.

Uhuru directed govt agencies to plan for human vaccine production centre in Kenya in bid to reduce dependence on foreign suppliers.
