Former prime minister Raila Odinga has been heckled again while on his tour to Central Kenya in a bid to drum up support for his presidency in 2022 general election.
This follows after the locals of Sagana area in Kieni constituency booed him while addressing them while they stood by the roadside to witness his convoy of vehicles as it makes its way into the place.
In a video which was shared on Facebook by blogger identified as Benjamin Magufuli, chaotic locals were heard shouting 'UDA' as a manifestation that they subscribed to ideals of United Democratic Alliance party whenever Raila talked about his vision to them. The ODM leader was heard talking about his campaign agenda to the residents. He explained how he would turn-around Kenya's economy by improving lives of those who are living in rural areas. Also, he broached the subject of unemployment which was a thorn in flesh amongst the youth who are already suffering due to bad economic situation.
However, every time Raila talked and paused to allow what he had said to sink to the locals, they kept shouting about the abbreviation of the party which is associated with deputy president Dr William Ruto.
This comes a day after the former prime minister was also booed in Nanyuki where he had gone to seek for support in his State House journey. In another video that was shared widely on Facebook, some locals were heard chanting Dr Ruto's name while telling off Raila and ODM party.
