Following the naming of his proposed cabinet secretaries, President William Ruto made further changes to his government. According to NTV, he has appointed former Turkana governor Josphat Nanok as the county's new governor and former cabinet secretary Felix Koskei as his new minister.
The television station reported that Nanok, who served as the director general of the presidential secretariat, has been named as the new state house comptroller. Koskei, who served as a minister during the first term of President Uhuru, will serve as the president's chief of staff. Davis Chichir, who was previously serving as the energy cabinet secretary, was replaced by Koskei.
"Former Turkana governor Josphat Nanok to serve as State House Comptroller while Felix Koskei to replace Davis Chirchir as President Ruto's Chief of Staff," NTV reported.
Koskei replaces energy cabinet secretary nominee Davis Chirchir who had been serving in a similar role before his appointment to be cabinet secretary.
