Details indicates that cabinet secretary of interior, Hon Fred Matiangi, held a consultative meeting with one of Deputy president William Ruto's strong Ally who is his top critic as far as politics is concerned.
Taking to his social media accounts, Elgeiyo Marakwet senator Hon Kipchumba Murkomen revealed that they decided to put politics aside and discuss matters concerning insecurity being witnessed in Kerio valley.
He revealed that they reached into an agreement and government will respond to the matter as from today. He added that he will support any assistance the residents will get from government."We have just had a discussion with cs Fred Matiangi about the situation in Kerio valley and he has promised an escalated State response commencing tomorrow," said Hon Kipchumba Murkomen. "We shall support the state in whatever way they want but we shall only believe their promises and we see the results," he added.A number of residents have been killed by unknown bandits and this matter is expected to end soon.
