Update On Provisional Presidential Results From Machakos County Matungulu constituency

As the verification and counting of the presidential election results take up speed amid distrust between the United Democratic Alliance party and Azimio coalition party sharp focus is currently on Bomas of Kenya and the IEBC. On Friday as the verification of forms 34B went on the two parties made unsubstantiated accusations of malpractices that led to melees at the national tallying center (Bomas of Kenya).

Additionally there were claims that the IEBC systems had been infiltrated although Commissioner Abdi Guliye urged the public to disregard those claims. Hussein Marjan CEO of the electoral agency gave the populace assurances that the results portal was totally secure and impenetrable to hackers.

According to the recent provisional presidential results from Machakos County Matungulu constituency there was a tight race between Azimio La Umoja One Kenya leader Hon Raila Odinga and deputy president Hon William Samoei Ruto.Raila Odinga managed to get 33,270 votes followed by deputy president Hon William Ruto with 11,991 votes. Prof George Wajackoyah got 346 votes while David Mwaure of Agano Party manage to get 146 votes.

As the IEBC begins to count the election results numerous organizations have asked Kenyans to maintain their composure.
