Governance Expert Reveals Why It Is Not Mandatory for Raila To Participate In August Elections

Governance Expert has now revealed that it is not mandatory for the former prime minister Raila Odinga to participate in the upcoming August presidential election.

He has said that during the 2017 general elections, Raila Odinga boycotted the elections but now we have a president as a nation citing that his threat of no manual register no election will not count since it is not mandatory for him to be on the ballot.

Dennis Nthumbi, Who is a Governance expert has also informed that it is not only Raila who can stopped the August general elections, he also said that even William Ruto himself cannot stopped the elections.

"For Raila to say "no manual register, no election" is a security issue. In his capacity, he cannot stop an election, even William Ruto cannot stop an election. It is not mandatory that Raila Odinga is on the ballot, he boycotted in 2017 but we have a President."- Dennis Nthumbi, Governance Expert said.
