Former President Uhuru Kenyatta was in Mombasa last weekend where he met with Azimio la umoja One Kenya coalition party leader Raila Odinga in the coastal city. Raila was in the city to attend a series of ODM party political engagements.
And details that are now coming out indicate that the former head of state (Uhuru Kenyatta) visited a previously little known hotel in Mtwapa region of Kilifi county where he spent some time.
And according to the manager of the hotel identified as Francis Wekesa, the former president was not alone during the visit. He was accompanied by his family members.
At the hotel, Uhuru and his family did partake in a sumptuous Lunch meal. The family savoured a specially selected menu that consisted of various sea foods before leaving.
"Indeed, the former president was here with his family on Saturday for a private lunch where they savoured select seafood items from our diverse menu," he said.
