Angry Kenyans Demonstrate Against The High Cost Of Living In Nairobi CBD

Kenyans have been using every available strategy to obtain enough food to survive as the cost of basic goods has been growing daily in their country. Several online protesters today in Nairobi's central business district demanded that the government lower food costs. President Uhuru Kenyatta claims that the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which has left many nations grappling with a high cost of living, is to blame for the global economic downturn.

Politicians have been promising Kenyans that if elected, they will deal with the economy and make Kenya great again as the 2022 General Election draws near. Raila Amolo Odinga, the presidential candidate for Azimio la Umoja, has assured Kenyans that if he wins on August 9th, his first 100 days will be devoted to reviving the Kenyan economy. If elected as Kenya's next president, Raila declared that he would organize another election in Kenya.

On the other hand, William Samoi Ruto, the Kenya Kwanza Party's vice-presidential candidate, has likewise assured Kenyans that he will make the country's economic development a top priority.
