Martha Karua was steadied to vie for the Kirinyaga gubernatorial office and Raila Odinga agreed to appoint him in the role of running mate. Kalonzo agreed to bolt out of the azimio la Umoja bloc after he said that the move to elect Martha as running mate was a deception to the Kamba nation.
Ann Waiguru mailed bad news to the Azimio la Umoja organization. Waiguru warned azimio that the admission of Martha Karua as running mate will not change the validity that Kirinyaga is a UDA zone.
