The new Zambian Presidesident elect has kept the public updated since last week when he was announced the presidential elections by an independent electoral body. President Hakainde Hichelema is set to be the seventh Zambian President since the country's independence.
The sixth president, Edgar Lungu peacefully conceded the defeat by the former opposition leader which was a nice gesture for the political maturity of independent African countries.
As the nation is preparing to conduct its inauguration ceremony of the President-elect Honourable Hakainde Hichelema and his vice president her honour Mrs Mutale Nalumango, the President has gone on social media welcoming all the members of the public to witness the ceremony.
According to the official government report, the ceremony will be held on 24th August 2021 in the Heroes National Stadium. It is yet to be established what other national leaders from different parts of African continent have been invited to attend the ceremony.
However, the Zambia's proximity and economic ties with her neighboring countries may prompt to invite the East African statesmen.
