Azimio MPs Forced To Run For Safety After Police Launched Teargas Canisters at Them

A dramatic scene has happened outside the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) offices as Azimio La Umoja allied legislatures were being chased. Earlier today, the MPs matched to the offices protesting the interdiction of IEBC deputy CEO Ruth Kulundu.

After the demonstrations rocked outside the offices leading to the situation getting more intense, police officers were called and swung into action. They launched teargas canisters at the Azimio supporters in an attempt to disperse them and create calmness at the offices.

The supporters were then supposed to run for their safety wildly as the police continued to launch the canisters. The demonstrations came days after the same MPs allied to former presidential candidate, Raila Odinga also threatened to walk out from an event if Chief Justice Martha Koome had attended.

Clearly, the Azimio Camp has since been a rebel to the IEBC especially since the August 9 presidential poll declaration. Raila lost the polls to William Ruto but challenged the declaration at the Supreme Court.
