What Orengo Said After Wanjigi Asked Luo Nation To Support Him Following Raila's Loss

Safina party leader Jimmy Wanjigi has urged the residents of luo nyanza to support him following Raila Odinga's narrow loss to president William Ruto in the just concluded general election.

Speaking at a funeral in Ugenya Constituency, siaya county, Wanjigi said that the area has great potential and urged the attendees to join him on changing their strategies to fully realize their potential.

“Are you going to wait for another 10 years out of power? Your region has a good history of having fought for rights and freedoms that we enjoy yet you are still outside power. You deserve to be inside power,” said Wanjigi.

He advised them that they must be in government inorder for them to realize their goals.

He at the same time lavished Ruto's government with praises for dealing with the police reforms.

However, Siaya governor James Orengo who also attended the funeral differed with Wanjigi urging the residents to remain united in their efforts to become a nation so as to benefit.

“You cannot abandon your mother’s house because it is leaking. If it is leaking you fix it,” said the former senator for siaya county.

He at the same time Criticized the current administration for intending to raise taxes and NSSF.

Wanjigi was a Diehard supporter of Raila Odinga before the two fell out ahead of the August 9 presidential election.

He didn't manage to have his name on the ballot following IEBC's decision to block him from contesting.
