Speaking with the Star on phone, Kiujuri who seem to have bolted out of Ruto's Tanga Tanga camp argued that the leaders surrounding the DP from Mt Kenya Region were demeaning small parties, a move that has since angered the party leaders from the region.
The former Agriculture CS went on to hit on Ruto for calling upon the parties who want to join his team to fold their parties for the sake of UDA.
"They are full of arrogance. Will those leaders surrounding the DP be able to campaign on their own for Ruto? Can you ignore all the other leaders from the region and condemning their parties? No, it does not work like that,"Kiunjuri told the Star.
Reacting to Kiunjuri's statement, Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua who is a die hard supporter of Ruto challenged the TSP leader to make his party national, and that if he was not yet ready to team up with Ruto, he can negotiate for a post-election deal with UDA after the elections arguing that Kiunjuri remarks were baseless.
