Uhuru hosts leaders from 8 African countries at a Nairobi hotel, details of the meeting revealed

President Uhuru Kenyatta has arrived at a Nairobi hotel to preside the 39th Extraordinary assembly of the intergovernmental authority of development heads of state and government summit.

" His Excellency president Uhuru Kenyatta arrived at a Nairobi hotel for the 39th Extraordinary assembly of the intergovernmental authority of development ( IGAD) heads of state and government summit" wrote State House Kenya on its official Facebook page.

Today's meeting brings leaders and heads of state from eight African countries under IGAD. The eight- nation bloc brings together Horn of Africa, Nile valley and African great lakes countries.

" Leaders of the eight nation bloc that brings together Horn of Africa, Nile valley and African Great lakes countries are meeting to discuss peace and security and other regional priorities" added State House Kenya.

Agenda of today's meeting is to discuss peace, security and other regional priorities in the eight- nation bloc.

President Kenyatta is gracing the meeting in his full capacity as the chairman of East Africa community.

Kenya delegates are also present led by Defense cabinet secretary Eugene Wamalwa and agriculture cabinet secretary Peter Munya.
