Talai Clan Elders Reveal How DP Ruto Asked Them For Forgiveness During Secret Visit

Exclusive details continue to emerge on deputy president William Ruto's controversial visit to Kapsisiywo village in Nandi County where he reportedly went for traditional cleansing.

Speaking to The Standard in strict confidence, the Talai clan elders lifted the lid on the discussions they had with the country's second most senior government official. The elders are reported to have spoken their heart out to the deputy president complaining how they have been forgotten in Crucial government positions and DP Ruto's sidelining of the very same clan that paved his way to the top

"He acknowledged the challenges and asked for forgiveness, promising to complete the stalled upgrade of Chepterit- Kaiboi and Sironoi- Baraton roads that the government initiated in 2014," one of the elders told The Standard

The elders are Reported to have accepted his apology and proceeded to complete the ceremony whose attendance was strictly reserved

The DP's visit to the elders for the traditional ritual has literally divided the country in opinion with some sections of Kenyans questioning the DP's professed Christianity while other kenyans are more accommodative recognizing the essence of culture in our society
