Mt Kenya region has for years remained a major determinant of Kenyan politics and as 2022 general elections draws nigh, eyes will be casted on this region to see what it has for the country in the forthcoming elections.
DP Ruto is among the frontrunners with probable chances of unseating Uhuru Kenyatta. He is staking on a part of mountain region to propel his bid and hitherto he has some adherents from the area among them Gathundu South MP Moses Kuria.
Kuria's political blood is full of theatrics but he has proved to be a worthy soldier. In the just concluded Juja parliamentary race, Moses Kuria's People's Empowerment Party (PEP) candidate has given Jubilee Party candidate a rounded beating.
To Jubilee party this is a blow and writings are clear for all and sundry, the ground is shifting. William Ruto is however the happy lot, Kuria has proved to be a reliable errand 'boy' and when the trumpets blow, he will do that is supposed of him, Moses has been tested and proved, as the famous slang goes; Kuria ameiva sasa.
