Karua and Mukhisa take Raila's Azimio campaigns to Rigathi Gachagua's Backyard

NARC party leader Martha Karua has embarked on an intensive grassroot campaigns to popularize Azimio movement presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga in Mount Kenya region.

Yesterday the vibrant politician popularly known as "Iron lady" toured his home Kirinyanga county to woo the local residents to support Raila's presidential bid under Azimio movement. She met local residents for grassroot consultative meetings.

Today the brigade is in Nyeri county for other grassroot campaigns. They are currently meeting grassroot leaders, local residents and opinion shapers from Mathira constituency in Nyeri county. The consultative meeting is currently underway at Kiamwathi town in Mathira.

" NARC Kenya party leader Martha Karua now holding a stakeholders political meeting at Kiamwathi in Nyeri. Nyeri senatorial seat candidate Kabando Wa Kabando, Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi, Mathira parliamentary seat candidate Waruru Gikendi among other leaders present" wrote local Kikuyu online TV on its official Facebook page.

Hundreds of grassroot leaders from both ruling Jubilee party and NARC party are present in the meeting. Several issues affecting them will be discussed in the meeting. The team will also popularize their presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga.

The former Gichugu member of parliament is accompanied by several leaders allied to Azimio movement. They include former UNCTAD secretary general Mukhisa Kituyi, Nyeri NARC senatorial candidate Kabando Was Kabando and Mathira Jubilee parliamentary candidate Waruru Gikende.

Mathira constituency is the represented by Rigathi Gachagua who is a loyal supporter of UDA party led by deputy president William Ruto. It is rumoured that the outspoken legislator may be nominated as Ruto's running mate in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
