Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has congratulated a newly elected Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani.
President Osmani is a 38-year lawyer and reformist. She was elected into power as president by parliament in Pristina.
Charity Ngilu stated that it is a new dawn as more and more women countinue to take leadership positions in different countries.
She congratulated President Osmani saying that it is a major milestone and people should continue celebrating.
Charity Ngilu took to Twitter and said, "The proverbial glass ceiling takes another crack once again. Miss @VjosaOsmaniPRKS (38) has been elected as Kosovo's new President. The dawn of women leadership across the world is a milestone we must all continue to celebrate and applaud. Congratulations Madam President."

This comes at a time when another female president took power in one of the African countries. President Samia Suluhu Hassan who is currently in power as president of Tanzania.
