On Sunday 25th April 2021, viewers of vernercular television station Inooro Tv owned by Royal Media Services were treated to a heated debate between Nyeri Town Mp Ngunjiri Wambugu and Kikuyu Mp Kimani Ichungwa.
Ngunjiri Wambugu who is affliated to the Kieleweke faction of the Jubilee party differed with DPs ally and a member of Tangatanga wing associated with DP concerning the meeting they held to discuss the will and desires of Mt Kenya region to the DP.
Wambugu said that according to him he didn't see any Mt Kenya leader at the press conference they held who was speaking for the people. Instead he said that the Kimani Ichungwa's team were only speaking for themselves.
He added that majority of the leaders present at the said meeting were second term legistlators would were seeking to get government positions in the next government. Even though Kikuyu Mp Kimani Ichungwa tried to counter this allegations by the Nyeri Town Mp his explanation remained the same that they were holding talks with DP Ruto for the betterment of central region.
