Good news to parents are that Cabinet Secretary for Education Hon Ezekiel Machogu has announced that there will be no School fees for JJS unless they have boarding wings. This after President Ruto directed the Treasury to set aside KES 15,000 per learner as capitation to facilitate free learning in all public schools.
"President Ruto has directed the Treasury to set aside KES 15,000 per learner as capitation to facilitate free learning in all public schools; government will spend a total of KES 9.6B for the learners in JJS in this calendar year. No School should charge fees for JJS unless they have boarding wings", CS Ezekiel Machogu said.
