Mujuni Raymond remarks on whether General Muhoozi will succeed Museveni

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has been president of the republic of Uganda since 1986. Due to a age restriction of maximum of 78 years limiting any candidate to be cleared to run for presidency, president Yoweri Museveni is expected to retire in 2026.

Claims that Museveni has been grooming his son, General Muhoozi, to succeed him in 2026 once he retires has gone viral on social media platforms.

However, President Museveni’s Insider has revealed that this is not the case. While speaking to NTV, Mujuni Raymond claimed that president Yoweri Museveni has never blessed anybody as his successor.

Mujuni Raymond claimed that even his closest friend whom he has been together in government for over 40 years has not been brought any nearer to the throne of presidency.

The people of Uganda are comfortable with his kind of leadership. For over 30 years, the citizens of Uganda have kept reelecting him after every electioneering period since 1986.

On Oct 4th, 2022 president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni promoted his son, General Muhoozi, to a full rank of Generals. General Muhoozi now wears all the 4 stars in his his millitary uniforms.
