Edwin Sifuna Names Three Reasons Why ODM is Seen as a Violent Party

Orange Democratic Movement Party Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna has outlined three reasons why the party led by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is seen as violent issuing fresh details.

According to a video shared by ODM blogger Seth Odongo alias Disembe Dikembe, Edwin Sifuna has been recorded informing that "three reasons why ODM is always seen as a ‘violent’ party: (a) Actions of Party supporters (b) ODM history of pursuing Art. 37 rights (to picket) to address certain grievances c) Other parties sponsoring chaos and blaming it on ODM."

Seth Odongo and a former ODM Communications Director have however informed that the demonization of the ODM party according to a book by Prof. Kagwanja’s named "An Odyssey in Kenyan Politics" he reveals that PNU had a strategy of labeling ODM as anti-Kikuyu.

"The most telling is that PNU printed and distributed anti-Kikuyu leaflets across the Rift Valley, to stoke fears and make Kikuyus vote for Kibaki," Seth Odongo has added.

The ODM blogger has continued to inform that "this labeling of ODM as a violent party continued after Kibaki, with Sonko revealing recently that in Nairobi, they bought salvaged ‘Kikuyu owned’ PSV vehicles and burnt them along Nairobi routes, then blamed ODM" extending that "to innocent onlookers and viewers on TV, ODM did it."
