Supreme Court Judge Who Upheld Ruto-Uhuru 2017 Election To Appear In 2022 Appeal Case By Raila

The supreme Court is gearing up for an appeal that is expected to be filed by ODM party boss Raila Odinga who vied for the presidency on an Azimio la Umoja ticket. Martha Koome has already unveiled a 7 member team that will handle the case herself included.

From the list seen by this writer, 5 of the judges were in the 2017 appeal that saw the elections nullified by Maraga.

One of the judges ruling in favour of Uhuru and Ruto that the elections were free and fair and therefore did not warrant a repeat.

The judge Njoki Ndungu and Jacktone Ojwang said that the two leaders did not commit any offence and so was the IEBC. However a majority of the judges agreed that there were some errors in the whole process and therefore felt there needed to be a repeat election which the appellant refused to take part in and boycotted
