Today the cabinet secretary made a surprise visit to Nyayo House immigration offices to inspect the ongoing Citizenship program. The cabinet secretary was accompanied by various senior government officials from the ministry.
The cabinet secretary evaluated the progress of implementation of the 60-day rapid results initiative. This government initiative aims at expediating the process of regaining citizenship for Kenyans affected by restrictions of the repealed Constitution on dual citizenship.
The cabinet secretary interacted with local Kenyans who sat on the reception bars. He also interacted with workers and senior officers in the department of immigration.
The cabinet secretary has been keen on implementation of the immigration program. He launched the project last month with his principal secretary Dr. Karanja Kibicho.
