Kidero Giving Opponents Uneasy Ride in Homa Bay Gubernatorial Race

After unsuccessful attempt to defend his position as Nairobi governor in the 2017 general elections, Dr. Evans Odhiambo Kidero has relocated to him home county and is set to succeed Homa Bay county govenor Cyprian Otieno Awiti.

Kidero under his development moto dubbed 'New Homa Bay' is said to be giving his opponents uneasy ride even as the 2022 general elections get closer.

Kidero and his campaign team have gone through the eight constituencies that make up Homa Bay county, assessing some of the challenges that the residents go through.

He has promised to improve the economy of the region by improving status of different infrastructure like roads which stand as a major problem affecting the economy of the entire Homa Bay county.

The former Nairobi govenor has also promised to sort out water problems in the area to protect women and young girls from walking several miles searching for water. He said he will ensure Lake Victoria water is safe for drinking.

On the issue of the youth, Kidero has promised to include them in all the decision making processes to ensure their needs are also catered for.

Evans Kidero will be battling against several canditaes like ODM national chairman John Mbadi, Homa Bay county woman representative Gladys Wanga, former Kasipul member of parliament Hon. Oyugi Magwanga among other several notable candidates.
