Ayub Savula Sends A Strong Message To Raila & Karua Hours After The Release Of John Waluke From Jail

Hon. John Waluke, a Sirisia MP, was yesterday freed on a KES 10 million cash bail pending an appeal of his 67-year prison term in a multimillion-shilling corruption case.

After spending over a month in jail, his release sparked a range of reactions across the nation.

The former prime minister, Hon. Raila Odinga, and Martha Karua, the leader of the NARC Kenya party, have received thanks from the deputy governor of Kakamega, HE Ayub Savula, who claims that their efforts contributed to securing John Waluke's release.

"Waluke, welcome back. Thank you to former CS Eugene Wamalwa, Mama Martha Karua, and Baba Raila Odinga for securing Waluke's release. Now is the time to persuade Bungoma residents to elect Wamunyinyi as their next senator ". Kakamega deputy governor, Hon. Ayub Savula

The Sh500M fraud charges against NCPB were upheld by the Appellate Court, who had previously sided with the High Court. Whether the appellate court affirms his sentence or not will depend on what transpires over the ensuing months.
