Political analyst Fred Sasia said ODM leader Raila Odinga still has what it takes to stay politically active.
The commentator argues that it is wrong to assume that Raila is over simply because he has lost 5 times and his support bases seem to be changing.
He noted that the former prime minister has repeatedly found himself in similar circumstances since 2013, only for him to come back stronger.
He believes that Raila has mastered the art of turning himself into something different every vote, and that no political reason can force him to leave.
"In 2013, many thought it was the end of the road for him, but he changed so drastically and came back stronger that even his fervent supporters could not imagine. okay," Sasia told The Star. For him, only the forces of nature can dictate that Raila leave the active political scene before 2027, especially given his age, which he says is not on his side.
He says the only thing that worries Raila right now is his advanced age, which has caused even his most ardent supporters to begin to doubt him.
"The distinguishing factor now is that age has caught up with him, his pursuers aren't too passionate, the change isn't too close and his charisma is being tested," he said.
But Raila has remained silent on whether he will step out, despite earlier, during campaigns, saying he would retire if he loses again.
In his Azimio La Umoja coalition, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka appears to have taken on the role of critic of the government, seemingly getting ready for the 2027 election, where he says he will run for president.
