In an interview with K24 TV, Kipruto Arap Kirwa said that Raila Odinga had made a grave error by including the former president Uhuru Kenyatta in his team. This statement has received a mixed response online. He claimed it was a very serious error that cost him the chance to become president. Kipruto Arap claimed that he was held responsible for all of the issues and difficulties facing the administration at the time, which gave Dr. William Ruto an advantage over Raila Odinga.

Kipruto Arap Kilwa says that Raila Odinga committed a grave error despite bearing the full weight of the government's misfortunes at the time. He felt that since he was the one to blame for his mistakes, he shouldn't have given President Uhuru Kenyatta access to any place near the Azimio la Umoja squad.

In spite of being a strong guy in Kenya Kwanza in its latter moments, Kipruto Arap Kirwa has been regretting his decision to leave. He claimed to have predicted victory in Azimio la Umoja, but he took a disastrous turn.
